The Joan standard
Your life. Your voice. Your decision.
Joan is a private biography service. These promises apply to conversations, drafts, the family book, and the Founding 20 waitlist on telljoan.com.
01Your stories remain private
Conversations, recordings, and drafts are used only to create the family book. They are not used for advertising, training public models, or sharing with anyone outside the people you invite.
02Nothing enters the family book without approval
The storyteller reviews what is written. Unpublished material stays out of the book until it is approved.
03Details stay connected to their conversation
Names, places, and dates are kept with the call they came from, so the finished story can be checked against the original telling.
04Joan never invents parts of your life
If something was not said, it does not belong in the book. Joan may ask a follow-up question. Joan does not fill gaps with fiction.
Founding 20 waitlist
If you ask to join the Founding 20, we collect your name, email, and who the story is for. We use that only to follow up about a founding place. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to unrelated lists.
You can ask us to remove your waitlist entry by writing to the email you used to apply.
